A unique monument in Whitaker Park, placed by the Improved Order of the Red Men, in Oct., 1895, that includes what is left of the Standing Stone after it was blown up by the railroad. The Standing Stone was a dog-like shaped stone believed to be built by Mound Builders around 1,500 years ago about a mile west of this location.
